After leaving corporate America to pursue a career in business, Mr. Pell entered the convenience store industry in 2009. As owner and operator of Exxon 674 in St. Petersburg, FL he excelled in operations, increasing sales by 37% in the first year. During this time he began to network directly with large oil company executives in all marketing aspects of the convenience store and fuel industry in Tampa Bay, learning the business of convenience stores and developing a successful consulting firm, GSM. Today, GSM is used by some of the largest convenience store operators in the U.S.; Circle K, Automated Petroleum and many others. Along with operating GSM, Mr. Pell also owns and operates a portfolio of 10 restaurants in the QSR space and has recently become a Checkers Franchisee. Mr. Pell attended the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida and is an avid Gators fan.

After leaving a successful career in finance, Mrs. Pell brings her MBA skills and experience to the administration of the business. Mrs. Pell shares with her partners the hands-on ability to manage all aspects of each operation. She carries that experience to the top-level administration of every location and that is where Mrs. Pell excels. She administers the planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, controlling and budgeting of this organization. Her skill set is unique in that she has a marketing degree along with her MBA from Eastern Washington University. While she is an excellent administrator she maintains a marketing perspective to move the business forward. In addition to being COO of GSM, Mrs. Pell is also an Executive member and co-owner of 10 restaurants in the QSR space.

Benjamin Mercer

Manager, Operations

Mr. Mercer entered the convenience store and QSR business via Banking, joining GSM in 2009. Mr. Mercer compliments the team with lead-by-example operating skills. He has a full set of Human Resource skills; excels at hiring, able to train new employees, recognizes the strength of each team member, and is excellent at coaching and encouraging team members. Mr. Mercer's technical training enables him to excel at facilities management. He is the management team member in charge of store product development, placement and pricing. Mr. Mercer is responsible for store audits and mitigating inventory shrink, skills made possible by his intimate knowledge of store operations and skill in managing employees. In addition to GSM, Mr. Mercer is a Jani-King, Checkers and multi-unit TacoTime franchisee.
